Fractaos: a polyphonic oscillator built around fractal synthesis

Fractaos is a stereo polyphonic oscillator built around fractal synthesis.

Designed for Eurorack, yet open to more self-contained use, it can produce anything from precise, playable tones to freer, shifting, more experimental textures. It also features a polyphonic ADSR envelope with a curve function, allowing it to operate as a complete voice.

At its core are eight oscillators arranged as four polyphonic voices, shaped through the interaction between fractal waveforms and primitives that can modulate, deform, and transform them in real time. A Drone mode also keeps all eight oscillators continuously active for denser, more immersive sound fields.

The fractal primitive can also serve as a modulation source, influencing simplified FM, LFO behavior, morphing, detune, Drone-mode chords, and texture-based processes such as formant extraction and resonant filtering.

Fractaos includes 8 bipolar CV inputs for modulating the main parameters, 4 Trigger/Gate inputs, 4 1V/oct inputs, and a MIDI input with support for polyphony, velocity, and aftertouch.

All parameters can be stored in the internal preset memory, with several thousand slots available.

New Sisyphus V2

The new version of Sisyphus brings a major expansion of its granular engine, with a wider sonic range and 14 new granular patterns.

Each pattern has its own personality and behaviour, and can now shape the sound through pitch shifts, detuning, chords, grain reversal, stereo movement, unstable repetitions, and increased grain density.

The Variability control now goes far beyond simple intensity changes, influencing multiple aspects of each pattern such as depth, complexity, tuning, grain distribution, direction, and spectral behaviour.

Version 2.23 also introduces a new Follow algorithm, smoother filter transitions, fewer glitches, wider stereo possibilities, and more organic movement in cutoff and resonance.

Please refer to the new user manual for full details about each pattern.

Zazou is back

A brand-new version of Zazou is now available!

    • One envelope per track, triggered by note or by sequence, in step mode or continuously.

    • Envelopes output as CV and MIDI across 4 channels. A Step mode lets you use four independent envelopes with any connected instrument.

    • Over 20 new sequences, with diatonic handling.

    • Harmony mode: Free, Alternating, Interpreted Diatonic, Forced Diatonic.

    • New algorithms: Tintinnabuli (Arvo Pärt triads), Wander (controlled chaotic walk), Archimedes (variations around π), Guidetone (random lines toward target notes).

    • Improved fractal algorithms with a new musical engine: Cantor, Fibonacci, Sierpinski, Mandelbrot, Julia.

    • New autosave and a new file format.

    • 100% compatible with all versions of Zazou (except save files).

    • Free update.
